Required Data in Customer shipping instructions prior to loading of container is: • Shipper: Full name/Physical address • Consignee: Full name/Physical address • Notify Party: Full name /Physical address • Description of goods: 6-digit harmonised system tariff code/ Precise Cargo Description • Type of Container / Weight / Pieces • BL number (if available) AIRFREIGHT All relevant manifest info must be electronically submitted to SA Customs BY MERCURY FREIGHT within 6 hours prior to cargo loading at airport of departure on flight transporting cargo to or via South Africa. • Mandatory data required is SAMES AS SEAFREIGHT above, plus AWB number For weekend departures we must receive all info & full pre-alert by 1500 hrs South African Time Friday before departure. Cargo cannot be loaded if we have not been advised before 1500hrs Friday for cargo departing on a weekend. Please check the time differences between your country and South Africa. PENALTY FOR FAILURE TO SUBMIT THE ABOVE TO CUSTOMS IN TIME IS USD550.00 AGENTS cannot send any cargo consigned to MERCURY FREIGHT without prior approval by us.
