Abu Dhabi Shipping Agency (ADSA) was established in 1979, originally as a Commercial Agency House, intent on providing a 'total package of freight solutions' to governmental, quasi-governmental departments and various trading houses in the city.

Over the years, the success of ADSA has witnessed rapid diversification and the introduction of other services such as: Liner Agency of major Internationally renowned Shipping Lines and Tramp Vessels, International Freight Forwarding by Air and Sea, Custom Clearance & Delivery, Project Cargo Forwarding & Handling, Business Moving, International & Local Removals, Fairs and Exhibition Logistic Services, Warehousing and Storage, General Cargo Sales Agency for Airlines & Self-Storage Facilities. The total package concept was further enhanced by the appointment as Chief Agents of a major Indian Government-owned General Insurance Agency. Hence, the company is now in a position to offer its clients all major marine underwriting and general cargo cover, plus motor, personal accident & fire cover.

ADSA INTERNATIONAL MOVERS, the removals division of the Company, was established over 20 years' ago. With the large and ever increasing Expatriate market in the Emirates, their aim was to provide a service for the local and international moving industry.

Abu Dhabi Shipping Agency LLC was established on 1st July 2004 as a fully owned entity and a subsidiary office in Dubai. The Northern Emirates and Dubai / Jebel Ali in particular, provide immense business opportunities for sustained and substantial growth in this region. The activities in Dubai mirror those in Abu Dhabi in order to maintain sustained synergies between the 2 offices.

ADSA is also a Quality-Accredited Organization, being awarded the coveted ISO 9001-2000 on 2nd August 2001, by Moody International Certification Limited.
